So true.

All prejudices, whether of religion, race, politics or nation,
must be renounced, for these prejudices have caused the world's
sickness. It is a grave malady which, unless arrested, is
capable of causing the destruction of the whole human race.
Every ruinous war, with its terrible bloodshed and misery,
has been caused by one or other of these prejudices.

~ Abdu'l-Baha,
Paris Talks, p. 146

  1. I like this thought... However, I also think that ridding the world of prejudice, while a noble ambition, is pretty much impossible. Our prejudices are for the most part taught to us at a young age and it is terribly difficult to overcome the instinctive reaction. What we can control are actions we take...that's where we need to focus as humans... not on the thought, but on what we do with the thought. ... just a thought! :-) I'm enjoying your blog!! -- Judi

  2. Yes, high-minded thought is useless unless it motivates us into ACTION. True, true, true.
